With la forteresse, her fifth album, Pomme marks her 30th year with her most personal project to date, which she produced entirely by herself for the first time with her touring musicians.

Conceived as a fable of emancipation in four chapters, the record draws inspiration from Japan, the United States, and France, oscillating between medieval mythologies and the worlds of Miyazaki. Recorded largely live at Studios de la Fabrique, it brings together intimate folk, piano-vocal arrangements, synthesizers, and sweeping orchestrations.
